The board seem to have been infiltrated by spammers!
Sorry it took me so long to get to this. I have been crazy busy and have not spent any time on forums lately.
I deleted all the offending users and posts, and I also turned on account confirmation. No accounts can be created without the approval of the admin. _________________

Hmm...
I have been remiss as well. I thank you, hudsmack, for cleaning up. I got two new user emails today (and promptly deleted the users after seeing email addresses ending in .ru).

In addition, I've updated the profile.php script to require the user to be logged in before viewing any profiles, this will prevent anonymous users from seeing any profile details, such as IM addresses and website URLs, etc.

FYI -
I added a required field to the registration page called "authorization password". This is a password that all new reqistrations will be required to provide. The spammers keep trying to sign up (I get at least three new accounts every day or two), so I figure this will stop them.
If you know someone that wants to sign up, just let me know and I'll give you the password for them to use during registration.
I needed to do something that the robots won't expect so they'll go away.
